Making Music with Logan Miller

A new music-filled comedy series is hitting Disney XD this winter and the show is loaded with a funky wardrobe, hilarious scenes and a cutie leading the pack.

Seventeen-year-old Logan Miller stars as Tripp Campbell in I’m In The Band, premiering on Disney XD Monday, Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. ET/PT.

The show follows 15-year-old Tripp, who scores dinner with his favorite band Iron Weasel (made up of three middle-aged stooges) as part of a radio contest. After impressing the gang with his musical skills, Tripp’s dreams come true as he lands the role of lead guitarist for the group, inviting the guys to swap living in a cramped van for a guest room in his mom’s house.

In real life, Logan is just as musically talented as his character Tripp. While hanging in his dressing room on the show’s Los Angeles set, we had him spill the dirt on which tunes are flying to the top of his heart…

“Don’t Stop Believin’”—his favorite childhood memory
“The first concert I ever went to, I was in fifth grade, was Def Leppard and Journey. They had a tour [stop] in Dallas at the Smirnoff Center and it was really cool. I was a big 80s rocker kind of guy back then and I really liked them a lot. Being able to see them live in this huge concert with everybody, [I got] into it. It was a lot of fun.”

“The Devil Went Down to Georgia”—his game face track
“I play Guitar Hero. It’s funny because it’s totally different from playing a [real] guitar. I’m not an expert; I play on medium and hard most of the time. I like playing ‘The Devil Went Down to Georgia’. It’s kind of technical and a fun, catchy tune.”

“Don’t You Want Somebody to Love?”—his latest obsession
“I really like ‘Don’t You Want Somebody to Love’ by Jefferson Airplane right now. But I also just recently got the Where The Wild Things Are soundtrack and I’ve been listening to that a lot lately.”

“Barbie Girl”—his most embarrassing fave tune
“[The most embarrassing song on my iPod is] ‘Barbie Girl’ by Aqua. Yeah, you know. Everyone’s going to have something embarrassing and, yeah, that’s what it is! It’s ‘Barbie Girl’ and I’m not ashamed of it.”

“Philosophy”—his go-to for a good mood
“I really love Ben Folds’ ‘Philosophy’. It’s kind of upbeat and just breaks down to this awesome piano solo and it’s always a good song to just jam to and have fun with.”

Logan sure knows his music! But if he could be in any band right now, which would it be and why? Check out the answer below in an exclusive clip from Logan to YOU…
