Did someone say free t-shirt? Introducing the T-Shirt Party! A gathering that's been taking TikTok by storm, t-shirt parties are a fab way to hang out with the gal pals, celebrate and show each other how much you care. We're walking you through the whole process, from getting organized to creating the invite list to finding the *best* goofy tee. 

What is a t-shirt party?

Before we can tell you *how* to throw a t-shirt party, it might be helpful to know what it is. Essentially, each guest is randomly paired with another guest prior to the party (up to a month in advance) and must buy a t-shirt for them. We don't mean cute graphic tees, though. Instead, the t-shirt should be on the sillier side—something that hilariously encapsulates one or more of the receiver's interests. Got a bestie who loves Taylor Swift and Barbie movies? A t-shirt featuring adorable Bibble on a T.S. album cover will blow her away. 

If you're not sure where to start your shopping, thrift stores and secondhand shops are often perfect places to snag unexpected or wacky tees (without breaking the bank!). 

Who's coming?

Invite your best friends, family or a mix of the two! Whatever the crowd looks like, make sure everyone is well acquainted with each other, at least enough for each guest to be able to pick out an appropriate t-shirt for their partner. 

When's it happening?

The t-shirt party can happen at any time! Whether your squad opts to do one as part of your annual Friendsgiving or Secret Santa bash or you save it as an end-of-school-year celebration, it's sure to be a hit at any point in the year.

How does it work?

After you munch and mingle, gather everyone in a circle. Have each guest give their secret person their t-shirt—wrapped, ofc. One by one, have each person unwrap their t-shirt. Then, let the laughter and love begin!
