Your Bod

What these celebs said to body shamers is *so* good

We all look up to our fave celebs who we see as beautiful inside and out, but sometime trolls on the internet try to break down their confidence. Luckily, we love these girls for being strong powerful woman. And how the following six stars clapped back at body shamers is proof of that.

Demi Lovato
Our girl Demi has been so open about her struggles with self love, but now she’s healthy, happy and gorgeous. And she’s not letting anyone steal her thunder. In an interview with Glamour, Demi stomps on the trolls saying, “I don’t have a six-pack. Maybe I don’t even want a six-pack. It doesn’t sound very appealing.”

Selena Gomez
We all remember the infamous pink bikini that got body-shamers everywhere trying to tear down the beautiful Selena. She captioned the Insta post, “I love being happy with me y’all #theresmoretolove.” Well put SelGo—we totally agree.

Emma Stone
Body-shamers go for girls of all sizes and Emma was another victim so now she’s all for girls empowering each other and stopping the hate. To USA Today she said, “I've seen a lot of comments that say, 'Eat a sandwich' or 'She looks sick.' I've been looking at myself in the mirror being mean to myself. I'm not sick. I eat sandwiches....In no way is it my intention to be a bad example.” All girls are beautiful and the standing ovation goes to Emma for telling it how it is.

Sasha Pieterse
For lots of girls, weight fluctuation is a serious thing that can even stem from health issues. PLL star Sasha knows that not only is it a physical issue, but a mental issue as well. On Insta she said, “You and your health are what matters, not anyone else's opinions and assumptions of you. Getting healthy isn't just about working out and eating right (however extremely important) it's also about surrounding yourself with those who care about you and want to see you succeed and become the best you can be.”

Jennifer Lawrence
JLaw knows how to tell it how it is and we love it. She’s a real girl with real problems (that means insecurities, too) but she knows how to handle it. To Yahoo she said, “You look how you look. And be comfortable. What are you gonna do, be hungry every single day to make other people happy? That's just dumb.” On that note we’re gonna go make a sandwich...

Chloe Grace Moretz
One of our fave advocates for a healthy bod, Chloe spoke out against a male costar who body shamed her. On the experience she said, “You have to kind of forgive and not forget, really, but it was just like, wow. It was jarring.”
