Netflix and workout? Yes, please

We’ve all have had our days when we spent hours binge-watching our favorite Netflix shows. Why not take that time to also work out? Because we love Netflix just as much as we love working out, we created a full-body workout for you to do while binging Liv and Maddie. Read along for your most active Netflix session *ever.*

While waiting for the show to load...
If your show has been loading for a while, take it as an opportunity to get your heart pumping. Pull out your jump rope and see how long you can jump rope before the show starts. Make sure to keep your feet together and your arms close to your sides. This will get you pumped and ready for the next part of your workout.

During the theme song...
Theme songs are usually around 30 to 45 seconds long. That’s the perfect amount of time to plank! Start on the floor and as soon as the music starts playing, raise yourself up onto your elbows and hold that position. Make sure your keeping your core tight and not letting your bottom half sink down. Planks are great for strengthening your core, supports proper posture and improves your balance.

When your core is sore...
With that 30-second plank, it’s understandable that your core is going to need a break. Bring a sturdy chair in front of your TV and start by sitting at the edge of it. Keep your arms at your sides and slide your butt off the edge, while supporting your weight with your arms. Lower yourself until your arms are at a 90-degree angle then bring yourself back up until your arms are straight. Repeat this move 10 to 12 times. This will give your arms some serious toning.

When Netflix asks if you’re still watching...
We’ve all been there. Countless episodes into an epic show, when Netflix pauses it to ask if you’re still watching. Don’t immediately hit “Continue.” Take a moment to get back into your workout and get up from your couch for a couple of lunges. Start by standing up straight with your feet together. Step forward with one leg and sink down until your front leg is at a 90-degree angle. Keep your weight in your heels as you push yourself back into your starting position. Repeat 10 times and switch to the other leg.

During the final credits, before the next episode auto-plays...
When your show ends, get back on the floor and lay on your side. Cross your top leg over, keeping your bottom leg straight. Prop your head up with your hand to keep it supported. While keeping your foot pointed, lift your leg up and down, making sure you don’t let it touch the floor. With each rep, don’t forget to exhale as you lift up and exhale as you lower it down. Do this for 5 reps on each side before your show starts up again.

Repeat! When the next episode starts back up again, repeat the whole workout again. You’ll definitely get a full-body workout, all while catching up on your favorite shows.
