4 ways to stay entertained at the gym

Let’s face it: working out solo can be boring sometimes. There’s not a whole lot you can do while running on a treadmill or using an elliptical besides, well, sweating. The upside? There *are* ways to stay entertained while getting your fitness on! Here are four sure-fire ways to keep your brain moving while you move your bod.

1. Read a book
If you’re doing a workout that doesn’t involve your arms (like a stationary bike), then you’re free to turn pages! Key tip: an e-reader like a Kindle will allow you to read even while working out your arms.

2. Listen to a podcast
If you want something that’ll capture your focus more than music, try listening to a podcast! There are tons of great podcasts out there for all interests.

3. Stream videos on your phone
Since most gyms have WiFi available, you can stream videos on Netflix or YouTube!  Key tip: get a pair of Bluetooth headphones so you can work out without tripping over your headphone cord.

4. Study 
Why not be double productive? Bring your flashcards or notes to the gym with you and study while you work out. You can knock two items off your to-do list at the same time!
