Breaking Storm - An original poem

Hey there, hunnies! This original poem written by a GL reader goes out to all the girls affected by the latest round of tropical storms and hurricanes. Stay safe!

Breaking Storm

The sky turns ashen.
Rain pours from the clouds.
Thunder booms and lightening lashes.

The wind wraps around anything within reach.
Trees fall,
and take down a power line each.

Our world turns dark,
lost in the shadows.
Flying debris make their mark.

When the storm is over, the sky clears. The lights remain off and I’m left with the world at which I leer.
