Able-Bodied Girl - An original poem

Hey girls! Here’s an original poem written by GL reader Laura D. about a friendship that died out. Tell us what ya think in the comments.

Able-Bodied Girl

We used to be inseparable
Until you found me disposable
And now I sit here and wonder if
I really am unlovable

Around you I felt so beautiful
In your presence i was invincible
My spirit itself was indestructible
But now you'll find it degradable

I wish friendships were refundable
Or even if they were exchangeable
Cause you've left me feeling despicable
I'm learning not to be so dependable
And praying my happiness is attainable

But without you I'm suddenly

So able
