Bullying victims, you'll love these celeb words of wisdom

Many of us have had to deal with bullies. It’s sad, but it's true. The good thing is that you're not alone: Numerous celebrities just like you and me have been (or still are) in the same boat. No matter if they were berated in middle school or are currently scrolling through offensive tweets in the Twitter mentions, they've had to deal with a hater or two in their time. What’s important is not letting these bullies get to you. These words of wisdom from some of our fave famous faces will remind you that you're not alone.

“Love me or hate me, I promise that it will never make or break me.” —Tyra Banks

“I was bullied every second of every day in elementary and middle school. Obviously, people are going to bring you down because of your drive. But, ultimately, it makes you a stronger person to turn your cheek and go the other way.” —Selena Gomez

“Never be ashamed of what you feel. You have the right to feel any emotion that you want, and to do what makes you happy.” —Demi Lovato

“Don’t let it get to you. Just know at the end of the day, you are strong and there are people that love you even if sometimes it doesn’t feel like it. It always gets better.” —Bethany Mota

“Don’t try so hard to fit in, and certainly don’t try so hard to be different…just try hard to be you.” —Zendaya

“My great hope for us as young women is to start being kinder to ourselves so that we can be kinder to each other. To stop shaming ourselves and other people: ‘too fat, too skinny, too short, too tall, too anything.’ There’s a sense that we’re all ‘too’ something and we’re all not enough. Our bodies change. Our minds change. Our hearts change.” —Emma Stone

“Growing up, I wish I hadn’t tried so hard to fit in…I’d tell myself to just embrace what you were born with because it’s beautiful and you were made that way for a reason." —Shay Mitchell

“Don’t be afraid to speak up for yourself. Keep fighting for your dreams!” —Gabby Douglas
