How to build a bond with your teacher
Building a bond with your teacher is super beneficial for your learning experience. It might be intimidating, especially if you're an introvert, a new student or simply don't know how to initiate conversation. Trust us, your teacher will appreciate the effort, and it'll make you stand out as a *stellar* student!
Participate in class
Being an active student shows your teacher that you care about the material you're learning. Remember: Teachers put effort into preparing their learning plan, so it's important to participate and show them that you're ready to learn. Pro tip: Sit at the front of the class. Less distractions mean you'll appear more studious to the professor.
Assist with classroom chores
Have you ever been in class and the teacher asks for a note-taker or for someone to help tidy up? Even if your teacher doesn't ask for help, it's still great to assist them with classroom chores.
Visit their classroom during free-time
If you have a free period in your schedule, why not spend it by visiting your teacher? You don't have to sit with them for the whole period, but stopping by to say a quick "hi" will def make them remember you as a friendly face.
Send a "thank you" note
Whether it's the start, middle or end of the school year, you can *always* show appreciation for your teacher. A thank you note will do just the trick. When writing your note, be specific about how they've positively impacted you. This shows that you truly care.
