Dear Carol
"Dear Carol, The school year has just started and I'm already getting nervous about grades"
Dear Carol,
Everybody says grades really count in high school. I just started my freshman year...and I’m already doing bad in one subject. Help!
- Grades
Dear Grades,
Good for you for wanting to excel academically. And, you’re right, if you get good grades all through high school, you’ll have more options later if you want to apply to college. So do your best to stay organized and set up good study and health habits. Have you found a quiet, well-lit, distraction-free place to work? Do you tuck yourself in at a decent hour? Can you enlist a tutor in the subject that’s hardest for you? If a pro’s rates are too high, find an older student who can help. Or ask your teacher for extra assistance and explain that you really are trying. I commend you for wanting to be the best student you can be.
