Dear Carol
"Dear Carol, What's a good gift for my grandparents?"
Dear Carol,
My grandparents are celebrating their 50th anniversary. I don't have much money, but I'd like to get them a present. Any ideas?
- Present Ideas
Dear Present Ideas,
Congratulations to them! If they’ve been married for half a century, I bet they have plenty of stuff. Can you make something homemade and thoughtful? Even a heartfelt (not just Hallmark) card in which you write out what you are grateful for and what you admire about them and what you have learned from them would be very welcome. Depending on what you enjoy doing, you could also make a sketch of them together, create a scrapbook of photos of you with them, write a song or toast for them, cook them a special meal or cake or do a video for them with siblings or cousins. The point is to express your love for them loud and clear. That will mean more than anything you can buy in a store.
