Dear Carol
"Dear Carol, I want this boy to stop bothering me"
Dear Carol,
There's a boy who is one year younger than me, and he's always bugging me and talking to me—and I just want him to leave me alone. How do I (nicely) tell this kid that I am not interested in him and that I want him to stop talking to me?
- Letting A Boy Down
Dear Letting A Boy Down,
If you give him zero encouragement, he will likely give up on his own. There's no need to be mean, but beware of giving mixed signals. Simply try not to engage in conversation. He will get through this (people do), and if you find that you need to discreetly avoid him, you can do so.
