5 home remedies for stubborn zits

Whether you're always on the edge of a breakout or get the biggest zits at the worst times, we've all experienced a fight with acne. Sometimes it can seem like a losing battle with all the different skincare lines and products that can cost hundreds of dollars. Not to worry though, we found some *super* easy home remedies that won't break the bank and will help you love your face.

Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar has many health benefits, who knew that treating acne was just one more! It has antifungal and antibacterial properties that kill all those gross germs invading your face. Simply apply it directly on your face and leave it on for up to an hour before rinsing. This stuff is super powerful though, so you might want to dilute it with water before you use it.

Honey and Cinnamon Mask
It's as effective as it is delicious! Both honey and cinnamon have the ability to fight gross bacteria and reduce inflammation, two factors that are big on triggering acne. To make, simply mix two tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon to form a paste. After washing your face, apply the mask, leave it on for 10-15 minutes and rinse completely. How *sweet* is that?

Egg White Spot Treatment
Okay, stay with us now. Weird as it may sound, using egg whites as a spot treatment is a great way to get rid of stubborn pimples. It has a drying effect on the skin, which closes pores and helps get rid of oil on the face. After washing your face, use a cotton swab to apply the whisked egg yolks onto the problem areas. For best results, leave the whites on your face for up to an hour.

Papaya
This tropical fruit has tons of bacteria-fighting agents which help reduce acne infections and gets rid of acne-causing bacteria. Simply mash the flesh of the papaya until it forms a paste or has a lotion-like consistency, then apply directly to the face. Leave this on for up to 30 minutes before rinsing and moisturizing.

Baking Soda
Baking soda has *so* many health benefits. It exfoliates, clears up the skin, can help whiten teeth and reduces inflammation. As if that wasn't great enough, it's all natural! Use warm water and baking soda to make a paste and apply it as a mask. Leave it on for up to an hour and then rinse.
