Fact or fiction: Does looking your best make you feel your best?
True or false? Does looking good really make you feel good? Yup, it's true. When you feel good about your appearance, you feel good about *you* too. Here's how (and why) to boost your self-esteem so you can feel like the queen that you are.
Put on a killer outfit.
Let's start with the basics: your outfit. Even if you aren't going anywhere special today, wear something that makes you feel good inside. You might just want to lounge around in ratty sweatpants but you'll be surprised at how much putting on your fave dress and doing your makeup and hair will improve your self image.
Stay healthy.
This one's *so* important. While a sweet treat is definitely worth having from time to time, too much junk food can drag your energy down. Not getting enough vitimans can increase your risk of getting sick. Remember too that being healthy isn't about being a size four. It's about doing what's best for you and taking care of yourself.
Do what makes you happy.
If you love curling your hair every morning, go for it. If you're more comfortable not piercing your ears, then don't give into the pressure. Do what you want to do. When you rock the looks you love, you'll feel so much more confident.
Fake it until you make it.
Some days you're just not feeling it. And that's okay—everybody has those kinds of days. But fake it a little bit. Smile, act like you're Queen Bey and keep tackling the day. Those positive vibes (real or not) will rub off on you and your friends.
Confidence is key.
The bottom line is that confidence shows through to the outside. Think about it, if you're rocking your favorite outfit, being healthy, taking care of yourself and smiling, how could you not feel amazing?
