Your Bod

*Every* girl can have a dancer's body (hint: it's easier than you think)

Ever wished you had a "dancer's body"? Well, according to Akira Armstrong, you already have it. The New York based dancer believes *every* body is a dancer's body...and now she's inspiring other girls and women to not let society's standard of beauty hold us back. Her dance videos showcase body positivity at its finest and they're making a serious splash on the internet right now.

Akira has always been a dancer. But after working with celebs like Beyonce and heading out to audition after audition, she quickly noticed the lack of diversity in the dance community and found out how hard it is to break into the business. Not having dancers that looked like her was discouraging, but instead of giving up, she decided to do something about itshe started her own company, Pretty Big Movement.

Pretty Big Movement encourages girls to get up and dance, no matter how much they weigh and teaches girls of every size that their weight is just a part of them and not a factor for failure. Since it began, Pretty Big Movement has competed on America's Got Talent, performed for Lane Bryant’s hashtag “I'm No Angel” campaign and also for the Ms. Full Figured USA pageant. Akira is starting to change the definition of a dancer and we are absolutely *loving* it.
