When you're checking your daily horoscope or scrolling through astrology memes on Insta, you're probably looking at content that's based around your sun sign. If you're really a zodiac enthusiast, you're probably also familiar with your moon sign. But to become a true expert on *everything* the stars are saying, you'll need to know about another important part of your chart: your rising (or ascendant) sign. 

While your sun sign is a reflection of your core identity and your moon sign rules your internal emotions, your rising sign is all about how you present yourself to others. It's influenced by the way you carry yourself, your personal style and your general outward vibe. Ever wondered how you come across to people when you first meet? Your ascendant depends on the zodiac sign that was rising on the Eastern horizon when you came into the world. So, to figure out your rising sign, you'll need to know exactly what time of day you were born. Pisces 

If your rising sign is Pisces, you've got undeniably strong intuition and endless creative ideas. Pisces risings are all about the ~energy~. You notice coincidences before anyone else, and you find yourself lost in thought more than you'd like to admit. You're imaginative, dreamy and deeply in touch with the world around you. 

Aries

Aries risings are famously intense, opinionated and fearless. You don't back down from a challenge, and you love a little friendly competition. When you set your mind to something, you're determined to make it happen. Your enthusiasm and lively spirit sets you on the right path for achieving your goals—and we *know* you've got big goals. 

Taurus

Virgo

Your closet is probably color-coded, and you won't leave the house without your bullet journal. You're a perfectionist and occasionally an overthinker, but you've got a good head on your shoulders. 

Libra

Libra risings love nothing more than to feel fully connected to the people around them. If you fall into this rising sign, you're an engaging conversationalist, peacemaker, and certified fashionista. Tbh, you're likely a bit of a flirt, too!

Scorpio

Sagittarius

Capricorn 

If you're a Capricorn rising, people appreciate that you're focused, driven and hardworking. You like living a busy life and filling up your schedule with everything from club meetings and babysitting gigs to bestie hangouts. One of your best qualities is that you're incredibly reliable. You're probably the mom friend of your squad. 

Aquarius 

Someone passionate, clever and rebellious = a total Aquarius rising. If you're an Aquarian, you're def a quick learner, and you're always trying—even in little ways—to make the world a better place. As a natural leader, you're the person who's consistently looking out for the underdog. People are attracted to your spontaneous nature and eccentric sense of style.
