Celebrate World Animal Day with GL
Did you know that October 4 is World Animal Day, a national day of recognition for all our fave cute and cuddly critters? If you didn't until now, don't sweat it. There are tonsa ways for you to get involved and show animals how much you care — check the official website for great suggestions to help animals in your community.
And in honor of oh-so-adorable animals everywhere, GL has put together a staff scrapbook with the cutest pictures of our furry friends...
"Is there anything cuter than a kitten in a bag? Harbor (left) doesn’t think so. Sam (right) just loves fresh laundry. I don’t love drying off with a cat-hairy
towel, but what can you do? Hampden (center) has lots of deep, deep thoughts. Or just likes to
pretend he’s actually listening to me." — Karen Bokram (Publisher/Founding Editor)
"Bailey is probably the smartest bunny I have ever met. And, well, look at her. She’s certainly the cutest too." — Keri Wilson (Sales and Marketing Manager)
"This is my dog Bordy. This past May, my childhood dog Bria passed away. We had rescued her from lab rescue and after she died, I decided to volunteer with them in her honor. I was fostering a dog named Bordy until he found his forever home. My family and I quickly fell in love with him because he’s just such a sweetheart and we decided to keep him ourselves. He had a broken heart and we did, too — we have all been helping each other." — Samantha Waranch (National Advertising Sales Assistant)
"Mulligan is pretty much the best dog ever. On a planet of
Mulligans, she would still be the best. She's brought out my inner-Buddist
because my friends and I are all pretty convinced she was a human in her
previous life!" — Patty O’Donnell (Senior National
Advertising Sales Director)
"My golden retriever Buddy and his stuffed raccoon Darla are
the sweetest pair around. Just look at those eyes! No wonder he’s getting
chubby—he’s hard to say 'no' to." — Brittany Taylor (Online Editorial Assistant)
"My kitten, Cowboy Jack, is such a rascal--always getting into everything! But when he falls asleep with his tongue sticking out, it's hard not to forgive him." — Jessica D'Argenio (Fashion and Beauty Assistant/Operations Manager)
