Why boxing is, like, the best workout ever

Jab, cross, kick, repeat! When it comes to releasing pent-up frustration...boxing packs a punch.

As Cary Williams, an Olympic-level boxing coach and CEO of Boxing & Barbells, explains, “You feel like you’re beating up whatever it was that angered you.”

Even some of our fave celebs are in on the empowering exercise trend (looking at you, Gigi Hadid). And for good reason: Combining strength and cardio, it’s a full-body workout that also makes you feel like a total boss babe.

Training Tips: 
You don’t need expensive equipment to reap the boxing bennies at home. Williams suggests shadowboxing, where you spar with an imaginary opponent.

Make sure to stay light on your feet, shuffling them from side to side the whole time to keep your heart rate elevated.

To ensure your form stays on point, Williams recommends watching YouTube videos (like the one below featuring Shay Mitchell) to perfect those anger-alleviating jabs and uppercuts.
