4 sweet treats for your Galentine's Day party
No bae this year? No problem! Galentine's Day is the perfect time to show some love to your BFFs. Whether you're going out to a fancy sushi dinner, spending a night cozied up with a rom-com or making friendship bracelets, there's always room for a little sweet treat.
Here are 4 sweet treat ideas for your Galentine's Day party that are sure to receive a whole lotta love...
1. Candied popcorn
Yep, we just found the perfect treat to accompany your swoon-worthy movie night (we're looking at you, To All the Boys I've Loved Before). Rather than plain buttered popcorn, brighten up your movie night with gourmet popcorn that you can even make pink.
Combine a mixture of sweet and salty snacks in your popcorn to spice it up. (M&M's and chocolate-covered pretzels make the perfect addition to this treat and add some color!)
Looking for something more? Try this recipe for pink popcorn by combining sugar, butter, vanilla extract and red food coloring to make an even sweeter treat. Pair this with your favorite fuzzy blanket, matching PJs and a movie classic.
2. Pink and red charcuterie board
If you're planning on going out to dinner with your besties but need the perfect appetizer, try a pink and red charcuterie board. Who doesn't love an appetizer full of treats? You can get creative with different snacks like Swedish Fish, strawberries, pink frosted sugar cookies, raspberries, chocolate dipped pretzels, Starburst candies and so many more. You can also have your friends bring their favorite snacks over and assemble the board together.
3. Yogurt-dipped strawberries
For a healthier treat and something easy to make with friends, try these yogurt-dipped strawberries as opposed to classic chocolate ones. You can pick from a variety of different yogurt flavors like honey, strawberry or just plain vanilla. Add on some food coloring if you want to make pink, red and white berries. (Bonus: They're soooo IG-worthy!)
Once your strawberries are done, pop them in the freezer for about an hour. Afterward, remove, serve and enjoy!
Still craving a chocolate fix? Try adding chocolate sprinkles on top of the berries before you freeze them for that small burst of chocolatey goodness.
4. Sparkly pink lemonade
What's a night of sweet treats without a fun drink? They both go hand in hand—and this easy recipe is one that you'll want to serve at your Galentine's Day hangout.
What you'll need:
-Pink lemonade
-Cranberry juice or grenadine (your choice, ofc)
-Edible glitter
Start by pouring pink lemonade into a glass with ice (if you have heart-shaped glasses for this, it looks *even better*). Add a splash of cranberry juice or grenadine to your cup to give that pink and red ombré effect to your drink. Lastly, pour in some edible glitter and mix until combined.
Happy Galentine's Day!
