Egg-cellent Easter Eggs
Play Peter Cottontail and make your friends extra hoppy this year. These creamy eggs are the perfect addition to ANY Easter basket are super simple to make AND you can customize them.
Ingredients:
One bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
One package (16oz.) of confectioner’s sugar
1 ½ c. peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
1tbsp of shortening
Wax paper
Sprinkles
Directions:
In a mixing bowl combine the sugar and peanut butter, add 1 tablespoon of milk if the mixture needs moistening . Using 2 tablespoons of the mixture, form egg shapes and put them on a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Put the eggs into the freezer for one hour until firm.
While the eggs freeze, empty 1 ½ ounces of chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon of shortening in a saucepan. Melt on low and stir until smooth. Using a fork, dip each egg into the chocolate mixture. Be sure to cover completely. Place the egg back on wax paper and allow them to cool and set, then decorate!
