Delish turkey dinner sandwich

I’ve got a confession: I’m not really a leftovers sort of girl. But one of the best things about Thanksgiving dinner is the day after, when sandwiches are king—er, queen!

What you’ll need:

Your fave dishes from the day before. I grab turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and gravy, plus two slices of hearty, whole grain bread, but you can use whatever combo you prefer.

What you’ll do:

Thanksgiving dinner is best served warm, I think, so I heat up the turkey, stuffing and gravy in the microwave, on the stove or in the oven before I make my sandwich.

Time to put it all together! My sandwich looks like this: piece of bread, layer of turkey,

then stuffing, then some cranberry sauce. I “butter” the top slice of bread with a thin layer of gravy to top the whole thing off. Alternatively, you can use mayo on both pieces of bread and leave the cranberry sauce and gravy on the side as dipping sauces.

Want an open-faced sandwich? Drizzle the hot gravy over your masterpiece and leave off the last slice of bread, as pictured above.

Keep it simple:

Not in the mood for all the fixings? Get some tasty, hearty bread, mayo and cold turkey. Easy! Want some crunch? I love shoving potato chips under the bread.
