The Hunger Games gets the online treatment with Nerve
The thrilling, Hunger Games-eqsue novel, Nerve, is about an online dare game played with anonymous risk-takers as the contestants. Seventeen-year-old Vee was one of the lucky few who were chosen, and is paired up with a totally gorgeous boy named Ian. (Remind you of Peeta, anyone?)
As the games go on, the dares get more and more dangerous. They start with just harmless but oh-so-embarrassing public humiliation, but quickly escalate to potentially rep-ruining acts and running into trouble with the cops. After Vee and Ian complete each task, they are rewarded with prizes—gorgeous, limited edition heels? Count us in!
But the games take a deadly turn for the worse, and soon the contestants are playing with their lives. Will the players take the plunge and risk it all for the grand prize? Find out when you pick up a copy of Jeanne Ryan’s new YA novel Nerve (in stores now!).
What’s a silly dare your friends have asked you to do? Blog about it, babes.
