Okay, we're pretty sure there's nothing that our December/Janurary '24 cover star Pressley Hosbach can't do. She's an up-and-coming singer (sooo pumped for that first single to drop 🤞), a dancing queen and now, she's taking the silver screen by storm. 

Her new movie Step Aside—which she describes as a "comedy about an over-the-top dance teacher who will stop at nothing to win"—is coming soon to Amazon Prime...and we're already popping the popcorn.

Pressley brings her dance background to center stage in the flick: She spills that she's playing "a mean girl dancer on the rival dance team." We couldn't resist asking all of our burning Qs about Step Aside—and Pressley dished on everything from the star-studded premiere to her personal fave parts of the movie. 

Girls' Life Magazine: What was it like attending the premiere of your first big movie?

Pressley Hosbach: I was super excited to see Step Aside since I didn’t see it beforehand. I was a little nervous, too. I knew that there were going to be so many people there and I wanted everyone to love it. Also, I'd never seen myself on the “big screen” before so I definitely had butterflies!

GL: You looked amazing! What did you decide to wear?

Pressley: I was dressed in vintage Betsey Johnson and my makeup was from Anastasia Beverly Hills. Both are my favorites. My style right now is very young, girly and fun. The dress was long and had ruffles and was just beautiful. Betsey Johnson is literally the epitome of young, girly and fun!

GL: And what about your makeup routine?

Pressley: My beauty aesthetic is very clean and minimal. Healthy glowing skin is my goal! I usually wear a tinted, sunscreen moisturizer and mascara and lip gloss. For the premiere, we amped up my everyday routine using Anastasia Beverly Hills products, which totally enhanced my look and gave me flawless-looking skin. 

GL: Did you have a fave moment from the night of the premiere?

Pressley: Seeing how many people came out to support the movie was amazing. Hearing everyone laugh and cheer throughout the entire night was so fun! I’ve been to a lot of premieres before but going to your own premiere is something so different—that was for sure the stand-out moment.

GL: What do hope audiences take away from Step Aside when they watch?

Pressley: I think that everyone can relate to the growth they see in the characters from beginning to end, even if you are not a dancer or know nothing about dance. It’s an overall feel-good movie. And it's funny…have I mentioned it is *really* funny?!
