BFFs on an epic space adventure? Check. Cybernetic powers? Check. Taking on a galaxy far, far away? Double check.

Kyriana Kratter is living her Star Wars dreams in the latest Skeleton Crew series on Disney+, and trust us, at just 14, her out-of-this-world journey is just getting started.

The show follows four kids who stumble upon an abandoned starship, accidentally blast into hyperspace and find themselves facing major danger as they try to make it back to their home planet of At Attin. Kyriana plays KB, a silver-haired, tech-savvy teen with special powers (and, might we add, a killer visor). 

With her journey just beginning, Kyriana’s already a force (!!) to be reckoned with—onscreen and behind the scenes. Whether she’s saving the world or working on her upcoming album IRL, Kyriana is proving she’s *the* rising star to watch. Star Wars fans, take notes: KB is about to be your newest obsession.

We sat down with Kyriana to chat all things Skeleton Crew, her fave on-set moments and her preferred lightsaber color, natch. 

Girls' Life: Tell us about your Star Wars: Skeleton Crew character, KB. What's her vibe?

Kyriana Kratter: KB has special powers because of her augmentation, but she doesn’t always speak up for herself. Over the course of the show, she grows so much and really finds her voice.

GL: Would you say you relate to KB? What do you two have in common?

Kyriana: Since I had so much freedom to make KB my own, I added some of my personality to her. KB is working her way to making her own decisions–even though it’s scary. On set, I was super excited, but everything was a little overwhelming. There were so many experienced and famous people, and it was intimidating sometimes to speak up for myself. I’m still learning, but I’ve grown so much because of Skeleton Crew. Everyone in the cast and crew was so supportive, and they all valued what I had to say. 

GL: Tell us about your co-stars and their characters—how does KB fit into the group?

Kyriana: My co-stars are incredibly talented. I was so excited to work with other kids my age , and we’re still best friends! Fern and I are the protectors of the Crew. Wim helps the group stay upbeat and fun. Jod is the grown-up of the group. And Neel is the glue that keeps us all together. KB would use her visor and augmentation abilities to keep everyone safe! Each one of us balances each other out to make the craziest but best group ever.

GL: Without giving too much away, what are you most excited for fans to see in Skeleton Crew?

Kyriana: I’m really excited for fans to see the action scenes! Those—especially the  stunts—were the most fun to film. 

GL: There’s so many cool, intergalactic locations in the Star Wars universe—where does Skeleton Crew take place? Can you tell us about it?

Kyriana: Skeleton Crew is set in the New Republic era, so the same time as Mandalorian and Ahsoka. It would be amazing if those worlds could cross and we could meet Grogu!

GL: Did you grow up watching Star Wars? 

Kyriana: Yes! When I was five years old, I used to dress up like Princess Leia using sheets and towels. I even made space buns with hair bands and bobby pins. It really is unbelievable to be part of this world and see my character as an action figure.

GL: Do you have a favorite memory from your time on set?

Kyriana: During Christmas, we had an extra long break during filming. All four of us got out of our dressing rooms, sat in the hallway and played Roblox. It’s one of my favorite memories, and playing those games always brings me back to that time.

GL: If you could live on any planet in the Star Wars universe, what would it be?

Kyriana: I would live on Ahch-To because of all the Porgs. I would become friends with all of them, create a crew of Porgs and convince Luke Skywalker to make me a Jedi master or my Porgs would attack him

GL: What would your lightsaber color be?

Kyriana​​​​​​​: Pink! 

GL: What’s next for you? Are you working on any exciting new projects this year?

Kyriana​​​​​​​: Yes, I’m so excited to be working on some new projects in 2025. I’m also a songwriter and singer. I’m really inspired by older music, and my songs are almost like my journal. I’ve been working on an indie-style album with my brother, and I’m planning on releasing it soon!
