The 2025 Grammy nominations have arrived—here's who's up for the biggest awards in music
The 2025 Grammy nominations just dropped, and this year's theme? Girl power! Our female faves are truly taking it home this year, with women snagging six out of eight spots in all the biggest categories: Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Best New Artist.
Leading the pack? None other than Taylor Swift and Beyoncé, each snagging 9 (!) nominations, unsurprising for both of these Grammy darlings. But it’s not just about Tay and Bey. This year’s nominations are *packed* with young female stars, including Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan—all landing noms in Record, Song and Album of the Year.
With Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ’Em” and Taylor’s “Fortnight” (feat. Post Malone) up for Record of the Year, it’s going to be a fierce competition. But amaze artists aren’t stopping there—Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso,” Charli XCX’s “360,” Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather,” and Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe!” are all in the running, too.
Album of the Year is an equally stacked lineup. Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter, Taylor’s The Tortured Poets Department, Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft, Chappell Roan’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet, and Charli XCX’s Brat are all in the mix. Even we can’t choose a fave.
As for Song of the Year, Billie’s “Birds of a Feather,” Gaga and Bruno Mars’s “Die With a Smile,” Taylor and Post’s “Fortnight,” Chappell’s “Good Luck, Babe!,” Sabrina’s “Please Please Please,” and Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ’Em” are vying for the win.
And let’s not forget about Best New Artist with both Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan nominated. For these two pop princesses—and undeniably two of this year’s biggest artists—this will be their first (and def not the last!) Grammy noms of their career.
The awards ceremony is set for Feb. 2 in Los Angeles. We’re already counting down the days, hbu?
