Cree and Madisyn talk Game Shakers season 2

Your favorite #girlboss gamers are back, as Nickolodeon's Game Shakers, created by hit-maker Dan Schneider, returns for a brand new season. Follow Babe and Kenzie, the 12-year-old masterminds behind the mobile game Sky Whale, as they navigate the ins and outs of owning Game Shakers, a super cool gaming company. Their goal? Take their app, and their company, to star status with the help of a few unexpected friends. If you missed the first season, it's a *must* watch so let the games (and the laughs) begin!

We recently caught up with the show's leading ladies, Madisyn Shipman (Kenzie) and Cree Cicchino (Babe), who gave us all the deets on the second season, which you can catch tomorrow night on Nickolodeon at 8:30 p.m.

GL: We're so glad the wait is *finally* over! Tell us, what can fans expect from the upcoming season?

Madisyn: You can except a lot of fun, crazy adventures and the characters are going to mature. So, a little girl/boy romance drama may be coming down the pipe!😉

Cree: Fans can definitely expect a little romance drama with lot of the characters, which is something you are not going to want to miss. We’re also going to see a bit of conflict between the four Game Shakers and that’s something we really haven’t seen yet, so fans are definitely getting some different sides of characters we haven’t explored in season one.

GL: Describe season 2 in three words.

Madisyn: Gut-busting, side-splitting and brilliant.

Cree: Creative, exciting and funny.

GL: We know every episode is going to be great, but which is your absolute fave?

Madisyn: Hands down, "The One with the Coffee Shop"! I can't spill the beans but you guys will be surprised with this one. So clever!

Cree: My favorite episode of the season was so fun to film and I was so happy we ended up creating it because, let’s just say as a TV junkie and professional fan girl I was very pleased. I can’t spoil anything but I know fans will definitely enjoy the iconic theme we got to work with.

GL: On the show, you two play avid gamer girls. Do you love gaming as much IRL?

Madisyn: I do game in real life. If you guys don't already know, I have 3 younger brothers. So, gaming is a must! I have to confess, right now I'm super addicted to Pokemon Go. Not only is it fun, it keeps you active. My best friend, Molly and I, are always at the park or the mall trying to capture the rare Pokemons!😂🙊

Cree: Oh yeah! One of Game Shakers' most recent games Nasty Goats is my favorite at the moment! It’s much more challenging than the other games in my opinion and I’m a little obsessed.

GL: If you had to pick a character on Game Shakers to go on a trip with, who would you pick?

Madisyn: I can't pick just one of the Game Shakers. We are really close with one another and love hanging together. We are like family so to pick one is impossible!

Cree: I’d have to say Double G. He’s so extravagant and wild, I think it would super cool to take a crazy adventuress trip with a superstar.

GL: Madisyn, with Kenzie's bluntness, she must be a really fun character to play. Do you have anything in common with her?

Madisyn: Actually I have a good bit in common with Kenzie. I feel that Kenzie/Maddie are kinda morphed into one. Kenzie is quick-witted and a bit of a dork but hey, so am I. Embrace that inner-dork!

GL: What can fans expect from Kenzie this season?

Madisyn: Ooohhhh...you can definitely expect some classic Kenzieness! She is definitely a little more blunt and feisty this season. Be sure to tune in to Saturday nights on Nickelodeon to catch the scoop.

GL: Cree, Babe is so brave and independent. Do you relate to her at all? Do you think you two would be friends in real life?

Cree: I definitely would. We’re very similar (we both have an independent, New Yorker vibe) and very different from each other at the same time and I think that combination would make for a good friendship.

GL: P.S. Madisyn, you’re an amazing singer! Is that just a hobby, or do you have plans to release music of your own?

Madisyn: Well, thank you! I love performing. I've been singing and playing guitar since I was a lot younger. I love writing and have actually wrote several original songs, as well. I think it's safe to say that in the future you can expect a release!

GL: And Cree, you're an incredible dancer! What do you love most about dancing?

Cree: I love that it allows freedom and creativity while at the same time requires focus and dedication. Dance was my first introduction to performing and it has become a big part of who I am.

Tune in to the Game Shakers season 2 premiere tomorrow night (Saturday, September 17th) at 8:30 P.M. on Nickolodeon
