Iconic literary heroine and childhood fave Eloise first stepped foot in the Plaza Hotel almost 70 years ago. Now, she's taking the fashion side of TikTok by storm—and helping you serve non-stop looks this autumn and beyond. Here's everything you need to know about this modern twist on a classic style. 

What is Plazacore?

The Plazacore aesthetic can best be described with one word: preppy. It takes cues not only from Eloise, but also from other famous, fabulous and fictitious NYC fashionistas—think American Girl's Samantha Parkington and Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf. Blending school-style inspo with Plaza Princess flair, it mixes timeless and trendy pieces to create the perfect ensemble. While this aesthetic can seem extra glam, you def don't need to go all-out to look the part—and we have some great places to start.

The Plazacore color palette is relatively simple—black and white are both must-haves, along with some pops of pink to complete the look. Eloise said it best: "Think pink. A better way of life." As for specific items to add to your wardrobe, you can never go wrong with delicate blouses, paired with mini skirts and blazers or cardigans to finish off the 'fit.  Dresses are another good option, especially if the colder weather hasn't quite reached where you live yet. No matter what you choose, you'll want to focus on quality over quantity. Even as trends come and go, you can wear these staples again and again.

It goes without saying that no Plazacore outfit would be complete without pearls. You might opt for a necklace, a bracelet or even these adorable drop earrings.
