ANTM CYCLE 9: Guest Blogger Jenna's Finale Thoughts
So, we all know by now, the Cycle 9 America's Next Top Model winner is...Saleisha! She rocked the final runway and took ah-mazing photos. Chantal was the other finalist, but unfortunately was "too stiff" (quoted Miss Jay and Nigel Barker) and when she tripped a man off his stilts, (during the fashion show, hard to explain! LOL) she lost her confidence.
So, personally, Saleisha was my favorite the whole way through. I loved the way Jenah opened up in the top 3 judging panel tonight (12/12/07). I am really glad she did that and she really stayed strong. Ok, so what was up with those Covergirl commercials?! I'm sorry but they were SO cheesy! LOL, aren't they all? Everyone took gorgeous shots, my personal favorite was Jenah's, and I loved how innocent she looked. Chantal's shots looked half way there, but not quite right. To my surprise, Chantal was chosen first as the finalist!
Aahh. It's a relief that the nerves are gone and I know who the winner is (you can tell I’m a huge fan!). This cycle had its ups and downs and in-betweens. Although she didn't win, Heather will always be remembered; I think she may get more attention than the winner. For all you who don't know Heather, she is a BEAUTIFUL girl who took great shots, but had a mild case of autism, making it hard for her to make friends at the house and to pose when it came to modeling. She was in the top 4, but unfortunately didn't move on.
Another part of ANTM Cycle 9 I wont forget is how Ebony basically kicked herself off. In her audition video she was begging and crying, because she wanted to be ANTM SOO bad. Then, when she was in the bottom 2 with Ambreal (a weak model, my opinion), Ebony said that she doesn't want to be there. Tyra was a little put off because she quit but Ebony insisted she made the right choice.
This season seemed a little lack luster to me. Where was the drama?! I enjoyed watching the granola bar/power drink fights (Cycle 5) or the Lisa and Britney's in the house (Cycles 5 & 2). But nonetheless, it kept me watching!
This cycle was full of laughter, tears, and memories. I absolutely love the new winner, and I hope she and Chantal both lead successful lives!
