Dear Carol
"Dear Carol, I don't know how to tell my friends that I'm moving"
Dear Carol,
A couple days ago, my parents told my sister and me that we have to move at the end of the summer. It's too far of a drive for my dad to go to his new job from where we live now. So I'll have to say goodbye to all my friends here. They don't know that I'm moving in a few months—and I don't know how to tell them.
- Sad And Puzzled
Dear Sad and Puzzled,
Moving is stressful—and also very common. But there are upsides to starting with a clean slate as a person and a student. You can make friends in your new school and still hold on to your OG besties. At some point, you do need to tell your current friends, one by one or in a small group. But if you'd prefer to wait a little longer, that's up to you. When you're ready, just say that you're sad and you hope they'll visit. I bet they will.
