My friend told my crush that I liked him. I immediately denied it and now he's been avoiding me. I want to confess somehow, but I don't know how. I'm confused because I thought he liked me.

Dear Confused,

Since you denied liking him (understandable), he didn't feel like saying, "Well, I like you," so he retreated (also understandable). How about saying in person or in a text: "Hey, I like hanging out with you, I just felt dumb that my friend was trying to speak for me. Let's do a reset?" When it comes to crushes, sometimes go-betweens are helpful, but often they're trouble.
