Dear Carol,

I'm a very confident person. I love vintage clothes and dressing in '80s style. I love to put together outfits and even sew a few pieces now and then. My parents and my friends like the way I look, and I'm proud of being different. But some of the kids in my classes think it's weird—and treat me as less than because of it.

It's great that you're confident and stylish. Maybe a career in fashion or design or entertainment is ahead. For now, don't let doubters make you doubt yourself. Listen instead to those who cheer you on—and keep having fun mixing and matching.
