LIFE
Dear Carol
My best gal is branching out...and I'm not OK with it
Dear Friend Has New Friends,
Here's the thing: If you go to the party feeling hurt and mad and slighted, you won't have fun and that won't be good for anybody. But if you go with the attitude that you’re glad you got invited (instead of truly being left out) and you do your best to get to know the new girl, everyone will get along. Make a one-on-one plan with your friend too, and when you're together, don't just grumble, enjoy that time. In short, don't cross your arms in a huff when you can open them instead. While it can be hard when friends make other friends, in the big picture it means you'll have more interesting people in your life—and, by the way, you'll be making friends on your own too.
