LIFE
Dear Carol
Make your summer go from boring to busy right now
Summer’s here, and I wish I had some plans. Help!
Dear Down with TV 24/7,
Can you spend some time at a relative’s
house? Can you spread the word that you’re a good babysitter? Can
you help at a parent’s shop or office? Can you volunteer to be a
counselor’s aide at a day camp? Can you find out about your town’s
summer activities? Check postings at your local library and read the
events section of the newspaper. Brainstorm with family and friends.
Even if you wind up stock at home, read, do sports and hang with
friends. And set personal goals, like, “I will read at least six
books,” or, “I will exercise every day.”
