Indoor Rock Climbing
When I went to my local rock climbing center, I had a great experience. I recommend going with some friends for more fun and support while you climb. The climbing center had diff climbs, depending on your ability. Basically, you try to scale up tall walls by grasping onto different rocks. Don’t worry—you work with an instructor and are harnessed in with ropes! We started with a beginner’s climb, which went by fast and felt pretty easy. The instructor was helpful and made us feel safe.
By the end of the day, we got to try a medium climb. It went up higher, with less rocks on the wall. It definitely challenged me more and I could feel the burn in my thighs, arms and butt as I went up. We only had one instructor, so we went up one at a time. I thought our group of three was perfect because none of us had to wait too long before we could try again. The next morning, the back of my legs and forearms were sore. It was so worth it! Climbing is a great workout for your abs, too. It was a fun challenge that I would love to try again.
