TUESDAY Q-DAY: Weight-Training

I want to start a weight-training program, but I have no idea where to start!

“When starting a strength program it’s best to start with body weight exercises, like squats and lunges for legs,” celeb trainer Valerie Waters tells us. “And for upper body, I would start with 5lbs-10lbs.” In place of lighter weights, try using soup cans or water bottles to save moolah.

“You want to make sure you master proper form first,” Valerie says. “Once you do, the amount of weight you can handle will increase quickly.”

So get lifting, and get ready to tone up—quick!
