I work my butt off! Why am I not getting in shape?
Feel like you’re sweating on the daily, but aren’t seeing any results? A trainer weighs in...
“Results don’t happen overnight—the important thing is being consistent,” says personal trainer Francesca Pucher. You may also be overestimating the minutes you’re exercising (maybe it only felt like you were on the treadmill for an hour) and underestimating the amount you’re eating (“I only had one scoop of ice cream…”).
To keep track of your efforts, start a Healthy You journal. And try not to measure your progress by the scale. Look for other signals about your fitness level, like less huffing and puffing on the track.
So, what accomplishment are you most proud of? What questions would you ask a trainer, if you had one? Share in the comments below.
