Be unstoppable! 5 things to remember when ya plan your workout goals
DON’T aim for perfection
Using magazine covers as workout goals is totally unrealistic and never a good idea. Rather than striving to look like your fave model or the hottest celebrity, think of exercising as working towards a better you.
DO focus on your health
Rather than trying to be skinny, think of working out as trying to be healthy. Health is more than the way you look in your LBD. It’s your mental health too- so focusing on becoming a healthier version of yourself is a better way to get motivated and will ensure that you get the kind of results you want.
DON’T work out to fit in
Getting fit with friends is a total DO, but make sure you’re in it for yourself. If you’re only working out to follow your friends, you could wind up pushing yourself too hard or feeling completely unmotivated.
DO be the best that you can be
Remember what working out is really about: you! Whatever you do, do it at your own pace and to make yourself happy. If you focus on pleasing yourself and not your friends, your BF, or your classmates, you’ll feel better inside and out.
DON’T overdo it
Putting in maximum effort can help boost your results and make the impossible possible. But struggling to the point of complete exhaustion or, even worse, pain, is a no-no. Working out should be challenging, but it should also be fun, and it should never be harmful to you and your body.
