Asleep on your feet? 5 ways to boost your energy
Keep yourself moving
If you’re waiting for something to heat up in the microwave, or if you’re waiting to be picked up by your BFF, don’t just stand there. Try doing some jumping jacks or high knees to keep your body movin’. This will improve blood flow to your body and brain, which will give ya more energy throughout the day.
Give yourself a natural boost of energy
Forget those unhealthy caffeinated drinks. Try making yourself a natural energy drink out of either pomegranate or acai juice. Blend them with ice, and you’ll have a tasty way to wake yourself up and get all the nutrients your body needs to stay healthy.
Grab a handful of nuts
Nothing will reenergize you better than a handful of almonds or pistachios. Packed with arginine, your blood flow will become stimulated more easily and allow your muscles to receive nutrients more quickly. The quicker you absorb, the more energy you’ll have!
Make a killer playlist
If you’re feeling low on energy, crank up your iPod and listen to some totally dance-worthy jams. Whether it’s a song by Little Mix or Selena Gomez, load your playlist with uplifting, fast beat songs. This will especially give you more energy for a workout. The quicker the tempo, the more endurance your body will have.
Embrace nature
Open up your curtains and let some fresh air blow in. Both the sight and smell of the outdoors will help to stimulate your body, which will give you more energy. You could even try going for a walk or jog outside to really get your energy kickin’.
