Play sports now, succeed later in life
A recent analysis of Title IX (aka, the law that demanded equality between girls and boys) dug up some pretty cool dirt.
The New York Times reported researchers found that chicas who participated in sports got a better overall education and had an increased likelihood of being employed later.
An added bonus? Girls who played varsity sports were less likely to be obese later in life. That said, boys are still taking to the field more often than their female counterparts.
Considering goin' out for a sport? Do it, girlie, and reap the benefits for years to come.
