I was eating ice cream outside with my family at my local Cold Stone. My crush, Jordan, and his mom were there and came outside to sit with us. After finishing up, he bet that he could beat me in a race up the street. The next day I confidentially told my best friend Kate about our chance meeting and how I liked him. She decided it would be a great idea to let Jordan know how I felt about him! Later I told my mom how angry I was at Kate and she said, “Honey, I don’t know why you’re mad. I already told Jordan’s mom you like him!” I couldn’t believe it. Jordan has not talked to me since then.
