My school has an Adopt-A-Grandparent program, so one day my class spent an afternoon at a nursing home. I was chatting with this older woman, and my crush was two tables away with an older gentleman. Apparently, my crush’s “grandparent” asked who that doll over there was—meaning me! My crush pointed me out and said my name…then everyone started calling out, “Hey, doll!”
