Your weekend DIY: Gorgeous painted leaf garland


There are leaf crafts, and then there are leaf crafts. Sure, kitschy can be cute, but it's wicked easy to go from artsy to, uh, less than adorable, if ya know what we mean. As soon as we saw a snap of this DIY, we knew we had to share it with you guys. Because hello, is this not the perfect crafty way to usher in fall, spend an afternoon getting messy and decorate your room, all in one fantastic swoop?

Load up on your supplies--newspaper, freshly fallen leaves, paint, a fine-tipped paint brush, twine and a hot glue gun--and then head over to Alisa Burke's blog for a how-to photo guide and some decorating ideas.
