I'm taller than my crush!


I really like this guy, but there’s a problem: I’m way taller than him! People tease me about it. Would something like height intimidate a guy? If so, what should I do?

 

HIS ANSWER: “Most guys shouldn't get intimidated by it,” says Brent, 15. “I am short for my age, and girls that are taller than me that I like don't intimidate me. If you get teased, ignore them.”

 

DECODED: The bottom line is that your relationship with your crush and maybe-boyfriend isn’t about what other people think, it’s about you and him. If it doesn’t bother you and he isn’t intimidated by a silly think like height—which is bound to change anyway—then who cares what your classmates say?

 

YOUR MOVE: Tell your crush you’d love to grab a slice of pizza after school or study for the big science test together. Be your sweet, flirty self…and leave the ball in his court. Chances are he’ll read your signs, and if he likes you, too, he’ll pluck up the courage to ask you out. If he thinks your slice of pizza is really just snack time, it might be necessary to be more obvious. Pull out the suggestion of dinner or a movie and he should get the hint.
