You Wrote It

This poem about the recent natural disasters will get you in the feels

Waiting
Waiting
Waiting

Not wanting to think but needing to
Know

Not wanting to ask but needing to
Learn

Not wanting to question but needing
Answers

Waking up to see your mom crying as she watches the
News

Watches the winds of terror
The rains of pain
The floods of heartbreak and
Destruction that wash over everything that was once There

Leaves you needing to know Even
More

Friends say they understand but
How could they

Not knowing if your family is
Dead or alive

Knowing that while you are eating,
Your family is
Starving

Knowing that while ships bring hope to some
Those ships deem your family not
Worthy

Knowing all this makes us want to unlearn but maybe
Ignorance is bliss
Isn't it?

And all we can do is wait
And hold back the tears
And wait.
