How to fit reading into your busy schedule

POV: You're in a reading slump...but it's been three years and counting.

We get it—many of us start to read less and less as our schedules pick up (what's a busy girl to do, tbh). Nowadays, it's like every novel you pick up takes you over a month to finish. And by that point, it's like—what's that character's name again?

But hey, DW if you're not the reader you used to be. No matter how busy you get, you can always fit reading into your schedule with these pro tips.

Lessen the load—aka, articles over novels.

Our number one tip to read more? Opt in for shorter pieces you can finish in a short amount of time. A great way to expand your reading horizon is diving into articles. Whether it be the news, commentary or even a movie review, you're still getting that daily dose of reading. So, the next time you're waiting for your vanilla latte or tapping your foot in the bathroom line, read an article or two!

Audiobooks

Okay, hear us out. We know listening to audiobooks isn't technically reading, but when you're driving or going on your daily hot girl walk, it's an *amaze* option to stimulate your brain. Plus, maybe you'll find yourself finishing a book you'd never thought you'd even get halfway through.

Pocket books are in

Let's be real—us on-the-go girlies have no room to carry a hefty hardcover everywhere. Switching to smaller editions of books will actually encourage you to bring your book along with you! And before you know it, you'll be getting it out of your purse or backpack the next time you find yourself having a moment of peace.

Find short reads!

As much as we love a good series, sometimes we just don't have the time (or patience) to get through a 500-page book of new worlds and fantasy terms. Instead, find some lighter books that you'll be more inclined to get through quicker without feeling like it's a chore to get through.

If you don't know where to start, we recommend trying out poetry books. There are *so* many amaze poetry collections from different poets and styles, so you'll be sure to find on that you absolutely love.
