Kick Back with Love Puppies and Corner Kicks
Hey, sporty sistahs, we’ve got an awesome new read coming your way!
Love Puppies and Corner Kicks by R.W. Krech is the fab story about Andrea, the lead goal scorer on top-ranked New Jersey soccer team, The Blast. But, her life is turned upside-down when her parents announce they are moving to Scotland. Um, can you say kilts?
As if leaving her buds behind isn’t bad enough, Andrea soon learns she has to live with—eek!—her new school’s principal. Will Andrea make friends in her new Scottish surroundings? Will she be able to find a new soccer team that accepts her as much as her Jersey players?
Moving to a new state (or even a new country) can be really hard, and this book gives girls who might be in a similar sitch someone to relate to. And while most don’t pretend to have laryngitis on the first day of school so they don’t have to talk (Andrea sure did), getting past the ice-breaker stage can be tough. Don’t you agree?
Trying to fit in, this story takes Andrea on a crazy adventure, reaching out to others who have similar new-girl hold-ups along the way.
Be sure to check out Love Puppies and Corner Kicks (in stores now) then let us know your thoughts.
Have you ever moved to a new state (or country!)? Blog about it, babes.
