Everything we know about the Disney+ adaptation of The Kane Chronicles

If you were tuned in to every episode of Percy Jackson and the Olympians on Disney+ this past winter, you might be experiencing some serious Riordanverse withdrawal. After so many years, we finally got a good adaptation of everyone's fave book series, and waiting for season 2 feels like it's taking *forever.*

But guess what? There's more Riordanverse content coming our way from Disney+, because the streaming platform is planning to launch a series adapting The Kane Chronicles!

If you've never heard of The Kane Chronicles, the original trilogy of books by Rick Riordan follows siblings Sadie and Carter Kane as they delve into the world of ancient Egyptian mythology. Sadie and Carter also met Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase in the spinoff Demigods & Magicians series.

The Kane Chronicles were originally going to be adapted into films by Netflix, but the deal fell through and Netflix gave up their adaptation rights. Luckily, Disney+ swooped in to give us the adaptation we deserve. Nexus Point News reports that the new series will involve Rick Riordan as a writer and producer, which means it'll stay accurate to the books.

A show version of The Kane Chronicles opens up the door to Disney+ adapting even more of Riordan's famous mythology-centered series, like The Heroes of Olympus and Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard.

One major question is on every fan's mind rn: Will this new show feature a crossover with Percy Jackson and the Olympians like the OG books do? Let's keep our fingers crossed!
