Must List

Our fave moments from the 2023 Kids' Choice Awards

From heartfelt speeches and performances to allll the slime, the Kids' Choice Awards are filled with tons of *amaze* moments. Whether you didn't miss a moment or weren't able to catch the whole thing, we've got you covered with a list of our absolute fave moments of the show.

1. Bebe Rexha's sliming

To call Bebe Rexha's sliming dramatic would be an understatement! Barely a few minutes into the show—and at the very end of her performance of her song "I'm Good (Blue)"—the first sliming of the night commenced. And the look of shock on her face? Priceless.

2. Dove Cameron's heartfelt speech

Dove Cameron accepted the blimp for Favorite Breakout Artist and gave a super sincere speech about how she was able to turn her feelings into her superpower. Her words of wisdom for other girls out there with big feelings: "You're not weak, you're incredibly strong. You might just be an artist in the making."

3. Adam Sandler being crowned the "King of Comedy"

A post shared by Nickelodeon (@nickelodeon)

Dressed like a literal king (his look was even complete with a sash!), everyone's fave comedian, Adam Sandler, was given the title he so deserves. And the best part of his acceptance speech? As soon as he mentioned how much he *hates* slime, he was in for quite the surprise when he was hilariously slimed.

4. Young Dylan's performance—on his birthday!

The *now* 14-year-old Nickelodeon star took the stage in a bright ~slime~ green vest to put on a super fun performance of his song "I Just Wanna." The crowd just couldn't help but dance along to his rap.

5. Melissa McCarthy being dumped into a bucket of slime

Melissa McCarthy—who plays Ursula in the upcoming live-action Little Mermaid film—was slimed from head to toe when her costars Awkwafina and Halle Bailey joked about her evil role in the film. Don't be fooled by their teasing though, bc Awkwafina and Halle got their fair share of slime on them too when Melissa made a splash!

6. Charli D'Amelio being an amazing host—and winner

Charli may have been hosting the awards for the first time this year, but it was her third year in a row (yes, third!) being nominated for Favorite Female Creator. In her speech, Charli made sure to thank her family for their support and her BF Landon Barker (who presented the blimp)—before running off stage to let slime fall from the sky and onto Landon!

7. Jenna Ortega winning the award for Best Actress in a TV Show

The queen who plays Wednesday Addams in Wednesday won an award for her amaze acting! Although she sadly couldn't make it to the awards in person, her hilariously Wednesday-esque speech *so* made up for it...the lights even flickered when she mentioned that it was too bright for Wednesday!
