#treatyoself with TikTok’s famous whipped coffee
We've all been spending more time on our phones lately, and what better way to stay entertained than swiping through TikTok? Lately, our TikTok feeds aren't just full of makeup vids and dance challenges—there's a new trend on the block: Whipped coffee! Social distancing means fewer trips to Starbucks, but this trend gives you the chance to be your own barista. Learn how to add some pep to your morning with this totally trendy *and* delicious drink.
A classic turned viral
Whipped coffee may be the newest craze right now, but it's actually been around for a while. The foamy drink originated in South Korea as Dalgona coffee and has taken over TikTok and other social media apps as a fun twist on the usual morning cup of joe.

The quick & easy recipe
Though whipped coffee looks (and tastes) super fancy, it's also super easy to make. You only need 4 ingredients, and you likely already have them in your kitchen!
Ingredients:
2 tbsp instant coffee
2 tbsp granulated sugar
2 tbsp hot water
1 cup of milk of choice
Instructions:
1. Whip together the instant coffee, sugar, and water with a hand or standing mixer for 3-5 minutes (or by hand for up to 20 minutes) until the mixture reaches a light, fluffy consistency.
2. Spoon the mixture on top of your milk of choice and enjoy!
No coffee, no problem
If you're not into coffee or just want to cut down on your caffeine, don't fret! You can still join in on the fun. Swap out the instant coffee and hot water for some matcha powder and heavy cream. Boom—a whipped matcha latte. Quarantine just got a little bit sweeter!
