Soundtrack alert: Almost Alice
Tim Burton’s 3-D film Alice in Wonderland releases in theaters today—yay!
There’s no doubt the flick is going to be a hit, but what about the music inspired by the magical scenes? Almost Alice, the rockin’ new soundtrack (in stores now), is one we just know you’re going to love.
The CD has a total of 16 unique songs—all from today’s hottest artists like Avril Lavigne, The All-American Rejects, Owl City, Metro Station, 3OH!3, Plain White T’s, Motion City Soundtrack and more!
The most talked about song off the album is the first track, “Alice” by Avril Lavgine. Avril puts herself in Alice’s shoes, and goes into Wonderland. The song sounds really passionate, with the main message that anyone can get by in life—just like how Alice did. It’s believed that even Tim Burton himself adores this track. So cool!
“The Technicolor Phase” by the ever-popular Owl City is another fab song on the album. In typical Owl City fashion, it combines a bit of electronica with great lyrics and soothing music. While listening, you can totally picture yourself roaming Wonderland, while spotting all sorts of amazing things.
If you’re a fan of slower rock, then “In Transit” by Mark Hoppus with Pete Wentz is definitely a song for you. And while Pete Wentz is involved with it, this track isn’t something you would normally hear from the FOB ex-bassist. Be prepared to be pleasantly surprised.
“White Rabbit,” performed by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, is the last track on the album. And for those who didn’t know, it’s a remake of an old Jefferson Airplane song from 1967! The tune is definitely about Alice and her adventures of being big and small.
Everyone and anyone will definitely enjoy Almost Alice. So don’t forget to check out the music—and, of course, catch the magical movie, too. Then come right back here and let us know your thoughts.
Are you excited for Alice in Wonderland? Blog about it, babes.
